Before the Motel was bought, the original owners (The Mitchell's) made their advertisements with these rather adorable, Disney Chipmunk, acorn-carrying signs. The first shot is located in Garden City, Utah, which is the only town next to Bear Lake, Utah. This was probably located not too far from the mouth of Logan Canyon.
This shot was located in Logan City, right in the heart of the small college town.
There has been no speculation as to where and when the signs were actually produced, since these were passed down from the previous owners.
