"Misc pictures taken of or at the "Mitchell Motel" which we purchased and began operating April 15, 1963. Sold April 15, 1970. We actually moved from the motel Sept 1, 1970. All members of our family got into the act. It was truly a fine experience for all of us. - C. Don Bishop
Here is a post card view of the motel, as it faces the mouth of Logan Canyon. Located on Highway 89 and approximately 1300 east in Logan, Utah, the marquee, squirrel embellished sign was one of the first sights that greeted weary travelers coming out of the canyon, and was typically the stop for many after traversing over the long, two lane drive down from Bear Lake, which at the time, didn't have any lodging available for tourists.
The view of the blue mountains gracing Cache Valley, as seen from the second balcony of the motel. A welcomed sight for all entering the valley, as for those who are native to the area as well.
The Motel boasted a nice swimming pool. Both mountain sets enclosing the valley provided a magnificent view for the relaxing patrons.
